Crafted with a durable ABS shell, the Orion jockey skull guarantees top-tier impact resistance and triple ventilation for comfort. Triple-safety certified, the Orion has been tested to the highest safety standard in the equestrian industry, PAS 015: 2011. The Black/Black/Black skull has a sanded finish, perfect for gripping helmet covers.
This skull features the Mips® safety system for added protection. Mips is a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows multi-directional movement of 10-15mm on certain angled impacts, intended to help reduce rotational force to the head. The Mips is a permanent yellow layer between the shell and the liner, visible when you remove the liner for washing. When removing the liner, hold the Mips layer in place.
Every skull ships with a liner. Make sure you have extra liners on hand—one to wear, one to wash. You can find additional liners sold separately here.
